Chuseok - September 2014
About 50 members and friends of FOK gathered on Sunday, September 7th to celebrate Chuseok (추석) - the Korean harvest festival. It was a lovely afternoon, sunny and relatively cool for the DC area, and the venue was delightful. Needless to say, there was a lot of excellent 한식 (Korean food) and it was not too long before the singing began, thanks to Jim Kinder and Phyllis Wickman. The celebration was topped off by a beautiful box of 송편 (songpyeon - rice cakes) courtesy of Ambassador Han of the Republic of Korea.
